CROATIA

Classic Croatia: Land + Sea. A blissful 1-2 week itinerary

At the top of Mount Srđ, Dubrovnik

Overview

When people think Croatia, they typically think cruising, islands, yachts, beach and, more recently, Dubrovnik Old Town made famous by the HBO series, Game of Thrones.

There is so much more.

If you search for tours in Croatia, you will be met with a bevvy of pages on sailing in Split, island hopping on the Dalmatian Coast and Balkan adventures that centre around the coast line.

However, if you travel inland even slightly, you will be greeted with stunning rainfalls, crystal clear mirrored lakes, small villages… and even a Colosseum.

This itinerary will show you the classic locations of a most beautiful country, that are all too oft omitted from the island cruise options. You’ll wonder why you didn’t visit sooner and you’ll also put it on your list of places to return to. I don’t do that often but I did in Croatia. Even better, why not add an island cruise to the beginning or end of this classic adventure and experience both?!

Here we go. I’m so excited to write about this country.
